How do you service an electric forklift?

The hot summer has arrived, with rising temperatures, heavy rainfall,
heavy dust and strong radiation.
Forklift batteries are also subject to "suffering".
As the core component, it is particularly important

to protect the battery in hot weather.
Proper maintenance of electric vehicle batteries can effectively
extend the service life of the battery and reduce the chance of failure.

Clean the battery regularly

Make sure the battery surface and terminals are clean,
regularly remove dust on the surface of the box and clean the terminals with
compressed gas to keep the terminals clean to prevent damage caused by
short circuits and corrosion.

Choose the appropriate charging environment and time

When the battery is being charged, the battery temperature will rise by about 10°.
Excessive temperature will intensify the chemical reaction inside
the battery and reduce the battery's performance and cycle life.

Therefore, when charging the forklift battery,
you should choose a cool and ventilated environment.
In addition, the upper limit of the battery's operating temperature is 55°C.
It is recommended to leave the device for about half an hour after work before charging.

Avoid overcharging and over-discharging

Forklift lithium batteries do not have memory characteristics,
and each charge lasts about 2-5 hours.
Please plan the forklift work and charging time reasonably.

If the battery is not used for a long time in summer,
it is recommended to store it in a dry and cool place after being discharged to 70%-80%.
Lithium batteries that have been left in stock normally need to be
charged and discharged once every 3 months.
When the battery charge drops to 20%, it should be charged immediately,
to avoid capacity loss due to low voltage.
